“A Human Genome Map for Every Home (2nd edition)” features Pluripotency Inducing Factors (PIF;
OCT3/4, SOX2, KLF4, c-MYC). These 4 genes convert somatic cells into induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. iPS cells can be used for studies on regenerative medicine and disease mechanisms, so they are of high interest to the public. In this way, we decided to add PIF to the human genome map poster.
We hope the poster will be used all over the world.
